Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in 1988 in New Orleans.
Frontman, vocalist and guitarist Kirk Windstein is the only constant member since the band's inception. Crowbar is known for their heavy, slow riffs and a blend of doom metal and hardcore punk. They released their debut album in 1991 and gained international success with their self-titled 1993 album produced by Phil Anselmo. Their latest album is 'Zero and Below' from 2022. Kirk Windstein is praised for his distinctive voice and virtuosic guitar playing, making Crowbar a solid name in the metal world.
