Moonspell

Moonspell returns to Alcatraz Festival after two years! We just love the gothic laced dark metal of this Portuguese quintet.

In 2015 the band came here to promote their album “Extinct” which had just been released on Napalm Records. This time round frontman Fernando Ribeiro promises it be a nostalgic trip down Moonspell memory lane. Twenty years after their breakthrough album “Irreligious” (1996), songs like "Opium", "Ruin & Misery", "Mephisto" and the obligatory last song of their set "Full Moon Madness” have been become such undeniable dark classics. Time to give that album the credit it deserves and perform it in full, adding some other classics from their debut "Wolfheart". Give yourself to Moonspell on this “Night Eternal” at Alcatraz, save your voice, you’ll need it to scream along!
