American glam metal stalwarts Dokken are a top act in the US, shifting millions of albums. On this side of the Atlantic they are less well-known so it’s high time to remedy that.
The band around figurehead Don Dokken celebrated huge commercial success in the States with such hit singles as ‘Alone Again’, ‘In My Dreams’ and ‘Burning Like a Flame’. Their popularity started to wane and the mercurial line-up probably didn’t help things. Don was the only original band member not to jump ship although guitarist George Lynch does make the occasional live appearance. The current line-up can’t wait to introduce their new album ‘Heaven Comes Down’ at Alcatraz 2024.
