Gespeeld op Alcatraz: 2025

Playing in front of your home crowd at one of Belgium’s most popular heavy festivals comes pretty close to our definition of a natural high. Kortrijk-based speed metallers Violent Sin hit like a rusted axe to the face. Channelling the spirit of early Slayer, Bathory and Motörhead, their sound is all screaming solos, breakneck tempos and venomous vocals. Lyrically soaked in classic horror flicks and anti-establishment rage, they offer a caustic blend of speed metal and thrash, delivered with the blind fury of a bar fight on a drunk Saturday night. Rumour has it one of their amps caught on fire once, exemplifying the relentless drive that spawned their maiden album. It’s obvious from ‘Serpent’s Call’ (2023) that these guys have plenty of growth potential and we’ll be hearing more from them in the coming years. For now, though, they can’t wait to rip up the Morgue.
