This American progressive hard rock band first came to the fore in 1983 with the release of their self-titled four-song EP ‘Queensrÿche’ but their big break came four years later when ‘Rage for Order’ marked the beginning of a stellar career.
Queensrÿche proceeded to take the world by storm and 1988’s ‘Operation: Mindcrime’ has sold millions of copies since its original release. Follow-up ‘Empire’ (1991), with megahit ‘Silent Lucidity’, was a commercial success and resulted in multiple Grammy Award nominations. In the course of the last 20 years, Queensrÿche has continued to put out excellent records and enthral audiences worldwide with exceptional live shows. The band has sold in excess of 30 million albums and their 13th full-length, simply called ‘Queensrÿche’ ‘(2013) and featuring new addition and former Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre, exhibits the undiminished creative force that has fuelled the band’s success for so many years. Follow-up ‘Condition Hüman’ (2015) hearkens back to the early material with odd time signatures and progressive song structures. The new ’The Verdict’ album is set for a 2019 release. Queensrÿche raised the roof on their Alcatraz debut in 2015 and this year they’re coming in hot off Wacken and Bloodstock!
