Alcatraz Line up: 2023

Poland has built a reputation over the years for spawning extreme metal bands that raze the metal world from their former Eastern Bloc home base. Crystal Viper, the band around guitarist/vocalist Marta Gabriel is proof positive that Poland has more to offer, in this case a generous helping of speed/power metal. In 2003 Marta started writing her own demo tracks and three years later she fleshed out her project into a full-fledged band. The following year later they released their full-length debut, a concept album called ‘Curse of the Crystal Viper’ (2007). Their sophomore effort ‘Metal Nation’ landed them a deal with AFM Records. Another three albums later things were looking ominous for the band, due in part to numerous personnel changes, but in 2017 they struck back with ‘Queen of the Witches’. The tracks on their latest outing ‘The Cult’ are very festival friendly so be there!
