In 2015 guitarist Anton Kabanen closed the door on his Battle Beast adventure. Two years later, the international heavy metal quintet Beast in Black - with members from Finland, Greece and Hungary - exploded onto the scene with their debut ‘Berserker’.
Named in tribute to the Japanese manga and anime series Berserk, the Finnish power metal band released their sophomore effort in 2019 with ‘From Hell with Love’, an album that refined the power metal mix with punchy, crisp riffs and catchy choruses. Guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Anton Kabanen knows how to create timeless melodies around heroic stories rooted in sci-fi, fantasy and cyber punk. Although the band is influenced by classic heavy metal bands like Judas Priest, Manowar, W.A.S.P., Accept and Black Sabbath, the subtle addition of synths enables Beast in Black to forge a standout sound. Their latest outing ‘Dark Connection’ (2021) is the perfect illustration of their signature sound.
