OFFICIAL FESTIVAL ENTRANCE = XPO KORTRIJK, HALL 3!

The official festival entrance for all visitors to Alcatraz Festival is KORTRIJK XPO, HALL 3.

ALL visitors (including cyclists, motorhome owners, VIPs, visitors dropped off by someone else, crew, emergency services, suppliers, …) must first report to HALL 3 in Kortrijk XPO in order to collect their personal Covid Safe wristband. Only visitors with a wristband are allowed in the festival arena.

PARKING XPO

As in recent years, the car park around the XPO halls acts as a parking area for festival visitors. As usual we will run (numerous) shuttle buses to take visitors from the car park to the festival site.

Cyclists and motorhomes (short-term parking for the latter is available at the VIVES site - see floor plan) must register in HALL 3 before proceeding to the bicycle parking and motorhome parking facilities at the festival site. A VIP shuttle bus is provided for VIP visitors.

The arrival zone (i.e. car park XPO) is organized in accordance with social distancing rules.
This means that everyone must wear a mouth mask at all times and that social distancing is the norm. Visitors must follow the signposts and stewards will be on hand to provide assistance.

Only when visitors have received their Covid Safe wristband are they admitted to the Covid Safe zone, from that moment on social distancing rules and face masks are no longer mandatory.

TIP: ON THURSDAY 12 AUGUST DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE STREETS ADJOINING KORTRIJK XPO OR THE FESTIVAL SITE. OFFENDERS WILL BE FINED!

HOW TO COLLECT YOUR COVID SAFE WRISTBAND?

To be admitted to Alcatraz Metal Festival 2021 you will not only need an entrance ticket but also a valid Covid certificate:

VISITORS FROM BELGIUM VISITORS FROM ABROAD

Belgian residents must present a Covid Test Certificate. This ticket is available via the CovidSafeBE app. We explicitly ask you to download the Covid Safe application on your phone.

You can also go to www.mijngezondheid.be to download a vaccination certificate or have it sent via regular mail.

Non-Belgian residents must submit a European Digital Covid Certificate. Please note that it is your responsibility to request this from your government and then upload it to a European Digital Covid Certificate.

For example for France:
'Tousanticovid'

When the certificate is scanned a green (access) or red (no access) code is displayed.

The certificate contains a standardised QR code that works for all EU residents (+ Iceland, Norway and Switzerland). Test certificates also display the validity of the certificate.

A special ‘lane’ is provided for all visitors from countries outside the EU. In this zone all necessary documents will be calmly examined. If no access can be granted on the basis of the documents, a daily authorized rapid test has to be taken and authenticated.

Under-12s are exempt from testing.

ATTENTION: AT THE FESTIVAL ENTRANCE (HALL 3) YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRESENT PROOF OF IDENTITY, I.E. AN OFFICIAL ID CARD OR PASSPORT!

GREEN = ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL

Visitors get a green screen if:
  • OR They are fully vaccinated + 2 weeks (+ 4 weeks in the case of Johnson & Johnson).
  • OR They can present a negative PCR test administered no longer than 48 hours before the event date.
  • OR They are in possession of a recovery certificate with a validity from 10 days after the date of the first positive PCR test until 180 days after that test.
TIP: WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO HAVE A PCR TEST ADMINISTERED ON THURSDAY 12 AUGUST BY:

TIP: ALSO PRINT OUT YOUR CERTIFICATE, JUST TO BE SAFE!

Only after a visitor has received his or her Covid Safe wristband will they be in the Covid Safe Zone. This means that distance rules and wearing a mouth mask are no longer necessary.

RED = NO ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL

Visitors get a red screen if:
  • The vaccination date is too recent (less than 14 days ago)
  • The test certificate has expired

Visitors for whom scanning the Covid certificate does not give access to the event can take a PCR test in hall 3 at Kortrijk XPO.

Only a negative PCR test gives access to the event and only AFTER a valid certificate has been issued!. The time between the test and the certification can be up to 24 hours, depending on how quickly the results are registered. This means that visitors who come for more than one day should be retested on Friday or Saturday in order to have access to the event on Saturday/Sunday.

The app is available for iOS (12.5) and Android (5). Only the official CovidScanBE app is valid.

PRIVACY

Your certificate will be scanned at the entrance without us having access to your health data. Moreover, no visitor data is saved on the scanning devices.

FOR A MULTI-DAY VISIT TO THE FESTIVAL

  • If you are admitted on the basis of a valid Covid certificate: You have access to the festival grounds as long your certificate is valid. If the certificate expires in the course of the day (e.g. at 10 a.m. in the morning) then you can remain on the festival grounds until midnight.
  • If you are admitted on the basis of a PCR test: Then you must get tested again every 2 days. If you test negative then you can stay on the festival premises.

After your PCR test is taken, the new certificate will only be available through the CovidSafeBE app after 24 hours. Therefore we recommend to immediately request a new PCR test, if you wish to do so, see procedure above.

We recommend that you order a test online now. It can then be taken the day before your test certificate expires.

Campers should then report to the Covid test tent at Lange Munte, to collect their new Covid Safe wristband. Even if they get a red screen we urge these visitors to still report to reception, for their own safety and that of the other guests.

TIP: DID YOU REGISTER WITH A TEST CERTIFICATE AND YOU’RE HERE FOR SEVERAL DAYS? ON SATURDAY TAKE A NEW PCR TEST IN OUR TEST CENTRE IN THE CAR PARK OF LANGE MUNTE, CLOSE TO THE FESTIVAL SITE.

WHAT IF YOU TEST POSITIVE?

Visitors who test positive will be asked to leave the site and quarantine as safely as possible.

If you test positive for Covid, your ticket will exceptionally be refunded upon presentation of your positive test result.

WHAT IF YOU ARE REFUSED ACCESS?

Please note this is a possibility! Visitors who have a valid ticket but who have not yet been vaccinated and refuse to take a test will not be admitted.

Ticket holders who are not able to present an officially recognised (digital) certificate as stated above are entitled to a ticket refund or they can opt for a voucher for the next edition of Alcatraz Metal Festival (August 2022). The help desk in Hall 3 will be happy to help or they can contact help@ticketmaster.be.

However, refusal to take an intermediate compulsory test does not entitle visitors to cancellation, compensation or a refund, regardless of whether or not the person in question has a valid entrance ticket.

It is the sole responsibility and liability of every festival visitor to:

  • have the required documentation and certificates on them at all times;
  • be able to present them at the request of the event organisers;
  • be aware of and respect the rules in force at the campsites and the festival arena.

VISITORS FROM THE EU AND THE SCHENGEN ZONE

Visitors from European countries, and by extension the Schengen zone and the EER, must take into account the colour codes and the associated measures that apply in their destination country.

Festival-goers are allowed to travel to Belgium from a red zone but a mandatory quarantine must be observed as long as they cannot submit a negative PCR test, proof of vaccination or a recovery certificate.

TIP: WHEN TRAVELLING FROM ABROAD REMEMBER TO FILL OUT YOUR PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM! THIS IS ALSO COMPULSORY IF YOU’RE TRAVELLING BY CAR.

VISITORS FROM THIRD COUNTRIES
