These are the 20 semi-finalists for Alcatraz Bash 2026!
In recent weeks, Belgian bands had the chance to register for the ALCATRAZ BASH. A selection committee, composed by Rock Tribune, reviewed over 90 submissions and selected 20 bands to compete in five semi-finals for a place in the ultimate final on May 1st 2026 at HELL OPEN AIR in Diest.
In the semi-finals, four bands compete for a ticket to the final. Only the winner of each semi-final advances to the final, which in turn has two winners who will perform on stage at the ALCATRAZ FESTIVAL in August on the La Morgue stage.

Free admission!
All clubs open their doors for free. The musical performance of the participating bands is of course the top priority that evening, but atmosphere, audience engagement and stage presence also play a role in deciding who gets to compete in the final on May 1st at HELL OPEN AIR. So come cheer on your favorite bands and get to know the future of the Belgian hard rock/metal scene.
