When Josh Homme, John Garcia and Brant Bjork formed stoner band Kyuss in 1987, no one could expected the band would reach such a cult status.
Unfortunately, the band was short-lived, as eight years and four excellent albums later Kyuss would throw in the towel. Drummer Bjork called it quits two years prior, longing to put his focus on releasing albums under his own name, whilst contributing to records of Fu Manchu, Lab, Ché, Fatso Jetson and the legendary Desert Sessions. The sympathetic, talented multi-instrumentalist, launches one great album after another, like clockwork, of which this year’s “Tao Of The Devil” is the man’s latest achievement. It is an honor to add this low desert punk, and one of the most notable figures of Stoner Rock to the roster of Alcatraz. Let's all get Chinese eyes !!!
